The boat that won the 2009 OC-1 Freestyle World Championships, the Blackfly is our flagship model, and one the first production boats to be designed to meet the "new" ICF regulations for OC-1. Designed for serious freestyle, the Blackfly is stable enough to be easy to paddle, but still able to be edged, slicy enough to throw around, but still has enough volume to be retentive. Standard equipment includes: full length foam saddle and bulkhead, adjustable footpegs, ash thwarts, and
Gaia Standard floatbags. The Blackfly is currently only available directly from Blackfly Canoes.
