Ion

In 2011, we introduced an ultra-short, “traditional” styled canoe based off the hull of our first freestyle boat (and used the term “traditional” very loosely).  Everyone who paddled it loved the fun, corky feel of the this little boat, but it was ahead of it’s time, and didn’t sell well enough to keep it in the line.

Now, we think the world is ready and its time has come.  The Ion was just too cool to not make, and we’ve tweaked, smoothed, updated it and brought it back.  With Blackfly’s freestyle DNA, surfs, spins, splats, freewheels and however else you want to rip up the river are the Ion’s forte.

The Ion comes with a bulkhead saddle, sidewall foam, knee pads, thwarts, and airbag lacing already installed.  Airbags are not included, we recommend Fall Line airbags for the best fit and quality.
