The Ion is the product of an alternate universe; one where there exist as many variations of whitewater canoes as kayaks. Think of it as a river-running playboat done OC-1 style. It's based off of the Blackfly hull, but will "traditional" canoe ends for a drier ride down the river. Though with something this short, the word "traditional" has to be used used loosely. Like all Blackfly boats, it comes fully outfitted, ready to put in the river.
